Thick sewing threads for seams who require strength.
Suitable for small bags, purses, trousers, outerwear, corsets and other projects where strong seams are necessary. Also nice for top stitching, contrast seams, machine embroidery or seams you want to stand out.
Normal spool - fits most domestic sewing machines.

This is exactly same thread as Mara 120 1000m except a thicker version.
You can read more about this thread there.

Tkt 70 is a very good compromize between agility and strength.
Most domestic sewing machines should have no problems handling this thickness.

When sewing on heavy fabrics you should also use thicker threads. The main reason for using thicker fabrics are often due to durability, and it would beat the purpose if you don't also use thicker thread. Likewise would too thick thread be difficult to work with and appear bulky on thin or light fabrics. You should therefore match the thickness of your thread with the weight of the fabric.
The exception is of course if you wish to use visible seams as an effect.

If you overlock in heavy fabrics I would recommend using thick threads only on the needles. On the loopers you should use normal or thin threads. Reason for that is because thick threads on the loopers will make the seam allowance very rough and stiff. If used on a garment it would be very uncomfortable on the skin. On the other hand you can create some really neat effects by using contrasting colours on the loopers when sewing the hem!
