This is exactly the same thread as Epic 120 1000m except in large cone.
Due to the size of the cone it won't fit on most domestic sewing machines.
These are meant for overlock and coverstitch who has a larger consumption of threads than regular sewing machines.
Tip!
You don't need 5000m cones in every colour on the overlocker. You can get away with only 3 cones in white and then only change the colour of the left needle to match the fabric. This way you'll avoid having a bunch of threads which will take years to use unless you sews daily. Additionally you only need 1000m spools on the left needle, which you can share with your regular sewing machine
Alternatively you can also get 3 cones in black and/or 3 cones in gray to be on the safe side.
For the overlocker I prefer Epic over Mara because the former have better properties. As a bonus Epic is also cheaper,
which is quite win-win for me. Overlock seam is rarely visible so the exceptional aesthetics of Mara makes no difference.
For coverstitch on the other hand I would instead recommend Mara 120 5000m namely because coverstitches
often are visible. I also hear from my customers that many coverstitch machines runs more smoothly with Mara, which I cannot confirm myself since I don't own a coverstitcher.
For the time being I only have black, white and gray in stock. Later I'll consider getting more colours if the demand is increasing. But I can order specific colours for you if requested. No minimum quantity. You can request only a single cone if you want. Price is the same. The only catch is you'll have to wait until next time I order from Coats, which is approx once per month.
You can read more about this sewing thread in the page for Epic 120 1000m.
As mentioned earlier the difference is only cone size.
